Job Summary
The Artificial Intelligence Specialist is responsible for defining, testing, and implementing AI initiatives to support SERVPRO’s business objectives. This role works closely with executive leaders to align AI initiatives with IT strategy to support the goals, drivers, and objectives of SERVPRO. Artificial Intelligence Specialist drives best practices and leads the design, evaluation, and evolution of AI tools, optimizations, and governance. This individual brings deep experience in AI and ML technologies, system design, hypothesis testing, and data governance. The Artificial Intelligence Specialist excels at complex problem recognition, leading through influence, and communication with constituents ranging from senior business leaders to deeply technical engineers. This is a pivotal role driving the adoption and integration of IT technologies in the SERVPRO system.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Partner with executive and technology leadership to a develop a comprehensive strategy for Artificial Intelligence, ensuring alignment of business strategies and goals to AI tools and capabilities.
- AI Projects: Deliver AI solutions to the SERVPRO system, guiding projects from early formation through proof-of-concept to functional implementation.
- AI Solution Design: Provide strategic direction and guidance on AI tooling for teams working across diverse business and technical domains.
- Mentorship: Foster a culture of continuous learning to encourage and develop intentional design, formal modeling, and sound decision-making competencies in high-potential and influential engineering resources.
- Collaboration: Participate in the AI Center of Excellence (CoE) to evaluate and prioritize AI opportunities for proof-of-value and proof-of-concept implementations.
- Innovation: Drive innovation and adoption of emerging AI capabilities in diverse problem and business domains.
- Governance: Establish foundational practices for utilization and governance of Artificial Intelligence technologies in accordance with corporate policies and risk posture.
- Work Products: Create and maintain tools, integrations, agents, and data sets necessary to support AI projects through development and deployment.
- Technical Acumen: Demonstrate and maintain deep technical knowledge across the core and emerging technologies in Artificial Intelligence, language models, and agents. Serve as a subject matter expert for AI related issues, including architectures, platforms, methods, and tools.

- Complete other duties and functions as requested by leadership.
Required Qualification (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Ability to read, write, and speak to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
- 10 + years of relevant experience in highly technical roles working with machine learning, language models, data science, or complex software development.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, including large language models, natural language processing, generative AI, agentic models, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Strong business partner interface skills; proven leadership through influence; excellent interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing AI or related technology strategies in a corporate environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Advanced degree in a computer science, data science, or a computational discipline is a plus.
